10 degrees

performance art space

Located in the heart of Capitol Hill in Seattle, WA, 10 degrees is the new home of Lingo Productions. The space was designed by Seattle's premiere architectural firm, Graham/Baba.

10 degrees is primarily used for the research and development of Lingo's new work, but also houses episodic residencies and performances of other artists. So far, these artists include Sarah Gamblin, DD Dorvillier, Heather Kravas, Peggy Piacenza and Markeith Wiley.

10 degrees is:
-A place for ideas to be born & raised.
-A space to spend long days grappling, dreaming, trying, contemplating, laughing, discarding and engaging with the creative process.
-A place for artists to hang their hat & settle down in their work.
-A home for research, practice, generation and feedback.

It is in this primary use that the space's main mantra: "search, make, perform" becomes most evident. With a sprung floor, soaring ceilings and minimalist design, 10 degrees is tailor-made to support the creation of dance-dominant new performance.

10° - The Event Space

10 degrees doubles as an event space and is perfectly suited for intimate dinners, cocktail parties and small-scale special occasions. Lingo Productions shares the former La Panzanella building at 14th and E Union with Oola craft distillery and Restaurant Zoe. The three businesses have joined forces to build fantastic event packages that include use of the gorgeous space, craft cocktails and Scott Staples' incredible catering. Because Zoe's kitchen is in the same building, food for events can be as elaborate as desired.

The financial philosophy of 10 degrees is to create an ongoing, passive income stream from rentals. The income generated from the events will flow directly to the artists using the space, creating a refreshing symbiosis between the two.

Space facts:
750 sq feet of clear span space
17' ceilings
Heated, sprung floor
Operable south-facing garage doors that open onto a private 30' deck
ADA compliant restroom
Kitchen facilities
