Kelly Sullivan

Kelly has been rolling, flying, jumping, thrashing, and otherwise exploring what it is to move through space since she found herself on a trampoline in “tiny tots” class as a toddler. Her ever-expanding interest in the human body’s potential for grace, dynamism, communication and expression have led her to pursue dance and performance for the past twelve years of her life. In her early dance days, Kelly performed extensively with Chimaera Physical Theater (1998-2007) touring all over the East Coast, and internationally in Taiwan. Since moving to the West Coast in 2004, Kelly has been honored to dance with zoe|juniper, Aiko Kinoshita/acornDance, and many other local choreographers. As the artistic director of Human Movement Projects, her choreography has been presented at 12mm at On the Boards, Velocity Dance Center, University of California at Long Beach, Western Washington University, the Whatcom Museum, and Smoke Farm, and commissioned by 4Culture’s Site Specific Network, Velocity Dance Center, Open Flight Studio, Fairhaven College, and the Issaquah Arts Commission. Kelly received her BFA in Performance and Choreography from Western Washington University. She is delighted to join the inspiring force of performers known as Lingo for A Glimmer of Hope or Skin or Light.
