Michael Rioux

creates performance and visual art. He is originally from Chicago. He has performed with Mordine & Co., Lucky Plush Productions and Luna Negra Dance Theater among others. In 2001 Michael founded Impetus Dance Theater. He served as artistic director and resident choreographer until 2005 when he moved to Seattle. Current projects include performing with Scott/Powell Performance, Salt Horse, Lingo, and directing the performance group The Sho. Michael received his BFA in printmaking and video from Cornish College of the Arts. His concern is to be full of joy and full of discovery. www.michaelrioux.com
