Bianca Cabrera joined Lingo in 2003 and has performed in projects, Speak
to Me, Relatively Real and The Tipping Point. She has also acted as an
artistic assistant
to KT Niehoff, helping to create class material and choreography for
Groundworks Dance Theater (Ohio), the University of Montana as well as
Seattle's Spectrum Dance Theater and Velocity's Strictly Seattle
Festival. Bianca collaborated with Seattle artist Ephraim Peniston on
two video shorts, Cannot Guess Me and You Can Always Go Swimming, which was
an installation for a duet with Seattle choreographer Ricki Mason. Bianca's
ongoing practice of contact and
spontaneous composition has led her to perform improvisation with many of
the courageous and riveting artists
in Seattle. Bianca began her training in ballet and Graham Technique in
1995 at the
Chicago Academy for the Arts. She also trained at the Alvin Ailey
School and the Martha Graham Center before finishing a BFA in dance at
Cornish College of the Arts.
